The basics

Plumón is a free Mac app provided by InsightGrid Solutions LLC, operating as Rakvia ("we," "us"). By downloading or using Plumón, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

It is free, and provided "as is"

Plumón costs nothing and requires no account. It is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to make it reliable, private, and correct, and every build is notarized by Apple, but we cannot promise it is error free or that it will meet every need.

Redaction and your responsibility

Plumón's automatic redaction proposes what it finds and asks you to confirm before anything is covered. It is a helpful tool, not a guarantee. You are responsible for reviewing any screenshot before you share it to confirm that everything you meant to hide is actually hidden. We are not responsible for information that was not redacted, whether it was missed by the tool, not selected, or shared before review.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, InsightGrid Solutions LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Plumón. Because the app is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.

Your content stays yours

Plumón runs entirely on your Mac. We never receive, store, or transmit your screenshots or their contents. What you capture, annotate, and share is yours, and it is your responsibility.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, and continuing to use Plumón after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to Plumón or these terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
